Implementation and Continuous Improvement

Ongoing Improvement includes six discrete competencies: assessing needs and assets; understanding context; applying and integrating implementation frameworks, strategies, and approaches; facilitation; communication; and finally, continuous improvement! 

We begin with assessing needs and assets, which is ultimately looking at the current context. Whether it is empathy interviews, a survey, or formally developed tools to assess the needs and assets of your school, district, or region, it is most important to ask the right questions before jumping in with presumptions. This dovetails with all we have read and learned about codesigning, and in turn, creating joint ownership of the problem and its solutions.
